The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday afternoon to the Regis Rangers from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. Lindenwood entered the matchup ranked No. 4 in the IWLCA Coaches Poll and No. 2 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Poll, while Regis was No. 9 and No. 3 in the polls, respectively.
GAME OVERVIEW
Both teams showcased their strong defensive units to begin the first half, as the game remained scoreless beyond the midway point of the period.
Emma Wildhart got the Lions on the board first with a free position goal at the 14:20 mark of the half. Just 84 seconds later,
Carly Fedorowski extended the Lindenwood lead to 2-0 with an unassisted score.
Regis responded with three straight goals and took a 3-2 lead with just under eight minutes showing on the clock.
Garland Fiser netted an unassisted score at the 4:04 mark of the half, drawing the Lions even with the Rangers at 3-3. The two teams would enter halftime deadlocked at that score.
Hailey Gallant scored the first goal of the second half to give the Lions a 4-3 edge over the visitors.
Regis then scored seven straight goals and eight of the next nine, to take control of the game, and secure the road victory. The Rangers outlasted the Lions by a final mark of 11-5.

- Lindenwood will embark on its final road trip of the regular season next week, as it prepares for three games in three days. The Lions will begin the trip on April 18 in Kansas City, Mo. against Rockhurst. Lindenwood will also face Fort Lewis and UCCS on the trip.
