Women's Lacrosse Salutes Seniors with Wire-to-Wire Win

The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team rolled to a 20-0 Senior Day victory on Saturday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. The Lions defeated the Oklahoma Baptist Bison to conclude the regular season with a 15-1 overall record and an 8-1 mark from within the RMAC.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood was in complete control of the game from the opening draw, scoring early and often to push past the visiting Bison. The Lions scored 12 times in the first half, before adding eight goals in the final frame to bring the game to its final mark of 20-0.

For Lindenwood the shutout was its second of the season and the fifth in program history.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Sarah Farley led the way offensively for the Lions with a career-high four-goal performance.
- Farley scored three of her goals in the second half.
- Abby Hagberg and Emma Wildhart each netted hat tricks for Lindenwood.
- In addition to her three goals, Wildhart added two assists, as she finished with a career-high five points.
- Senior Sami Smit also had a five-point effort, dishing out a career-high four assists and scoring one goal.
- Ellie Faulk, Alex Hammonds, Meghan Rea, and Paige Suton all had two goals in the win.
- Senior Sarah Cromer dished out one assist and secured three draw controls.
- Senior Remi Larson collected a career-high five draw controls.
- Maria Johnson led Lindenwood with six draw controls.
- Alana Jeronimo caused a game-high three turnovers.
- Aly Smith picked up her 15th win of the season in goal for the Lions.
- Smith played the first 44:40 in goal, before being relieved by Alex Hammonds. Hammonds registered the lone save of the game for Lindenwood.

UP NEXT
Lindenwood will host the 2019 RMAC Tournament at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. from May 2-5. The Lions will enter the tournament at the No. 2 seed, and will earn a bye into the semifinal matchup where they will face the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between the No. 3 Colorado Mesa and No. 6 Westminster.
