The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams lost to Southwest Baptist on Tuesday in Bolivar, Mo.
The men's team fell 7-0 to the No. 11 Bearcats as the Lions put up a fight. Two Lions faced ranked opponents, including
Hector Horcajada who lost 6-3, 6-2.
Juan Albin and
Michele Gaspari teamed up for a doubles victory by a 6-4 margin.
The women's squad lost 7-0 to the No. 27 Bearcats as three singles matches were against ranked opponents.
Haya Hamed lost 6-4, 6-2 to No. 17 Jill Van Den Dungen in the first singles match.
The women's team will be back in action on Friday to take on Northwest Missouri at 2 p.m. in Maryville, Mo. The men's team will return to the court on Sunday when the Lions host Northwest Missouri at 11 a.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
