Women's Lacrosse Coasts to Season's 12th Straight Victory

The Lindenwood women's lacrosse team picked up its 12th victory of the season on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. The Lions defeated CSU-Pueblo by a final score of 16-7, as they received a trio of hat tricks from  Carly Fedorowski, Hailey Gallant, and Gracie Pine.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood never trailed in the game, and scored five of the first six goals to build itself an early 5-1 lead.The Lions outscored the visiting ThunderWolves by a 9-3 margin during the first half. Lindenwood received goals from eight different players over the first 30 minutes of play.

CSU-Pueblo scored the first goal of the second half just 45 seconds into play, trimming Lindenwood's lead to 9-4. Just over 3:30 later, Meghan Rea assisted Fedorowski on her second of three goals for the day, helping the Lions reestablish their five-goal lead. Fedorowski's score was the first of five straight goals for Lindenwood, as the Lions went ahead by 10 goals with 16:41 remaining in the game.

The ThunderWolves outscored the Lions by a 3-2 count for the remainder of the game, but Lindenwood's lead never dipped below nine goals, as it won by a final score of 16-9.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Lindenwood had three players finish the game with three-goal scoring efforts. All three players also dished out one assist apiece to finish with four total points.
- Rea was the other multi-goal scorer for the Lions, finishing with two scores and one assist.
- Alex Hammonds secured a game-high six draw controls.
- Morgan Reader and Fedorowski each scooped up five ground balls.
- The Lions had 11 different players cause a turnover in the game.
- Aly Smith made three saves in goal, as she picked up her 12th victory of the season.

Lindenwood will host its RMAC rival, Regis on Sunday, April 14th from Hunter Stadium at 1:00 p.m. in a battle of nationally-ranked squads.
