GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood baseball team (26-22, 17-14 MIAA) lost 5-1 to Missouri Southern (31-16, 22-9 MIAA) in the first game of the weekend series on Friday at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

Kyle Hentis had a great game on the bump, as he went five innings and tallied 10 strikeouts. Hentis surrendered a run in the top of the fourth, but it went unearned. Missouri Southern added another run in the top of the sixth to take a 2-0 lead.

DJ Miller cut the deficit in half with a solo shot to left center in the bottom of the sixth, making it 2-1 in favor of Missouri Southern. Both teams battled through the remainder of the game, but a three-run homer by Missouri Southern in the top of the ninth put the Lions down for good.
