Women's Soccer Dealt 1-0 Defeat by UMSL

The Lindenwood women's soccer team dropped its home opener against Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday afternoon, losing by a final score of 1-0. The loss moves Lindenwood's record to 1-2-0 on the season.

MATCH OVERVIEW
Missouri-St. Louis established a 1-0 lead in the seventh minute of the match. scoring on its first shot of the afternoon.

Despite outshooting the Tritons by a 4-3 margin in the first half, the Lions were unable to find the equalizer in the opening 45 minutes of play, as Missouri-St. Louis carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Lindenwood came out firing in the second half, logging 10 total shots, including three on goal, and several quality scoring attempts during the period. Despite its increased pressure, the Lions were unable to pull even with Tritons before time expired.
