The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams split Tuesday's match in St. Charles, Mo. The men earned a 4-3 victory, while the women fell 6-1.
Juan Herrera earned every bit of his two victories, as his close games were decided 7-6 and 7-5.
Francisco Diaz and
Juan Balbin were able to win by a more sizeable margin in their respective matches. Diaz and
Juan Albin teamed up for a 6-3 win in doubles competition, while
Guillaume Teste and
Logan Orr picked up a key 6-1 win.
Fernanda Poblete was the bright spot on the women's side. Poblete won her match by scores of 6-1 and 6-2 respectively.
Paula Sostres was one-point shy of victory in both of her games, falling by scores of 7-6 in each game.
The Lions return to action on October 4-5 when they compete in the UMSL Tournament hosted by Missouri-St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo.
