The Lindenwood men's soccer team suffered its first GLVC loss of the season on Friday evening in Evansville, Ind. The Lions were on the wrong end of a 2-0 decision, as they dropped the match to the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles.
MATCH OVERVIEW
Southern Indiana seized control of the match early, breaking a scoreless tie in the second minute of play. The Screaming Eagles protected their one-goal lead for the majority of the first half, before scoring again in the 37th minute. Southern Indiana carried its 2-0 lead into halftime.
Lindenwood outshot Southern Indiana by a 7-3 count in the second half, including a 3-1 edge in shots on goal. Despite that advantage, Lindenwood was unable to cut into the Southern Indiana lead, ultimately falling by a 2-0 score.
