GAME OVERVIEW
Bridget Hoogendijk scored a goal and tallied an assist to lead the Lions to a 2-1 win over Mercy on the road.  Hoogendijk scored her first goal of the season in the 12th minute to get the Lions on the board. Mercy equalized in the 21st minute. In the 48th, Hoogendijk ripped another shot that was deflected past the keeper by Lauren Roberts to put the Lions on top for good. Lindenwood is now 1-1 on the year.

NOTABLE
- Bridget Hoogendijk had a goal and an assist against Mercy. She took a team-high seven shots off the bench for Lindenwood.
- Caro Theunisz assisted on the first goal of the game. It was the 12th assist of her career, moving her to a tie for sixth all-time at Lindenwood.
- Jessie Londono peppered the Mercy keeper with four shots, three of which were on goal. 
- Mary Clare Banholzer took three shots, all on goal.
- In goal, Mackenzie Litterst played the full 60 minutes, recording two saves.
- Lindenwood outshot Mercy 24-4 in the game, including an 18-3 edge in shots on goal.

The Lions play a pair of home games next weekend. Lindenwood hosts Frostburg on Sept. 13 at 5 p.m. at Hunter Stadium. The Lions then take on Limestone on Sept. 15 at 11 a.m.
