Fuhring Drops 21 Points Against Missouri S&T

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood women's basketball rose to 2-0 in GLVC action with a 73-60 win over Missouri S&T at Hyland Arena. The Lions were led by Devin Fuhring, who scored a game-high 21 points on 8-13 shooting (3-6 from three). She added seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block against the Miners. The victory moves the Lions to 6-2 overall this season.

NOTABLE
- Devin Fuhring led the team in points (21), and was second on the team in rebounds (7), assists (4), steals (3) and blocks (1). It is the fourth time this season she has eclipsed 20 points. 
- Lindsay Medlen tallied 16 points on 7-13 shooting with nine assists, six rebounds and two steals.
- It is the second time Medlen has notched nine assists this season. She is tied for the GLVC single-game high with 10 assists at Florida Southern and her nine assists tonight tie for the fourth-best mark in the GLVC this season.
- Julia Ruzevich was 6-10 from the field with 12 points and led the Lions with two blocks. She added two steals.
- Hennessey Handy was active on defense, grabbing six steals against the Miners, tied for the best single-game mark in the GLVC this season. Julia Ruzevich also had six steals this season (at Quincy, 11/26/19).
- Ellen McCorkle got her first start of the season scoring seven points with six rebounds.
- Kate Ruzevich provided a spark off the bench, gathering a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. 
- The Lions provided a lot of pressure on defense, scoring 14 points off 19 turnovers, including eight in the fourth quarter. The Lions turned the ball over only nine times. 
- Lindenwood's transition game stood out, with the Lions holding a 14-2 edge in fast-break points.

The Lions host Maryville (6-3 overall, 1-1 GLVC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. Maryville beat UMSL today 62-53.
