Lindenwood cross country student-athletes Nadia Pulliam and William Wallis have earned the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award, the conference announced on Tuesday. The Award is presented to individuals who are in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

Pulliam, a junior out of Hazelwood, Mo., competed in two races for Lindenwood this season. She finished 5th at the GLVC Dual Meet on Sep. 25, with a time of 16:30, and 32nd at the GLVC West Divisional on Oct. 9, with a time of 26:00. Last season, Pulliam was named to the 2019-20 GEICO Academic All-GLVC squad.

Wallis, a senior from Troy, Mo., ran in all three events this season for the Lions. In the season-opening GLVC Dual Meet, Wallis finished 17th with a time of 23:34. He followed it up with a time of 33:04 at the GLVC West Divisional, where he came in 58th. To close out the season, he ran a 31:26 at the GLVC Championships on Oct. 24, placing 72nd. Like Pulliam, Wallis was also a member of the 2019-20 GEICO Academic All-GLVC team.

The honorees are now eligible to become one of Lindenwood's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
