GAME OVERVIEW

The Colonials carried the pace of play for the majority of the opening period totaling 15 shots on goal, but netminder Annika Asplundh stood tall keeping the game scoreless heading into the first intermission.

Robert Morris kept up the pressure to start the second period as they had sustained pressure in the Lindenwood defensive zone, which resulted in five Colonial power plays.  Robert Morris capitalized on the man advantage breaking the tie with a goal just past the halfway mark of the frame.  Lindenwood kept battling, and were able to even the score when Megan Wagner put one into the back of the net at the 19:16 mark of the second frame.

In the third, Annika Asplundh and the defense stood strong as the New Hope, Pa native stopped all 14 Colonial shots faced.  Lindenwood totaled nine shots on goal in the frame, but the game headed for overtime.

In three-on-three, overtime the Colonials struck just 51 seconds into the period to get the 2-1 victory.
