No. 9 Lindenwood women's lacrosse (3-0, 0-0 GLVC) took down No. 8 Florida Southern (2-2, 0-0 SSC), 13-9, on Sunday.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions outshot Florida Southern, 21-9, in a first half that was tied 5-5 heading into halftime. Florida Southern finished with nine saves to Lindenwood's two in the first 30 minutes of the game. The Lions scooped up six more ground balls than Florida Southern, while also finishing with two less turnovers. Both teams recorded five draw controls in the first half of the game.
Lindenwood outscored Florida Southern, 8-4, in the second half to take control of the game and leave with a win. The Lions continued to outshoot the Mocs, 17-10, in the second half while also making more saves, 5-3. Florida Southern finished the second half with more ground balls scooped than the Lions, 9-5. Lindenwood totaled nine draw controls in the final 30 minutes, giving the team 14 in the game, and five more total than the Mocs.

- Lexy Biller, Alex Hammonds, Meghan Rea, and Paige Sutton each added a goal for the Lions.

- Doughty scooped up three ground balls for Lindenwood, while Kym Ardrey, Shannon Modl, Aly Smith, and McGuire all recorded two ground balls.
