With just one regular season series remaining on the calendar, the Lions claimed the No. 3 spot in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Men's Division I Ranking. Lindenwood capped off conference play with a sweep of No. 24 Iowa State last weekend to finish with a mark of 14-2-0 and another regular season championship in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League.
For the first time all season, Adrian lost a game, and it was back-to-back contests against Liberty on the road, but the Bulldogs still claimed the top spot for the 15
th straight week with a record of 25-2-0. Despite knocking off the top team in the country to improve to 29-4-0, the Flames remained No. 2 behind Adrian. Ohio University leaped up to No. 4 from sixth after sweeping the University of Pittsburgh for a record of 22-8-4. Minot State, the defending national champion, rounded out the top five after a sweep of the University of Mary.
The Lions travel to Springfield, Missouri to face Missouri State University in the final series of the regular season February 28-29. The puck drops at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night at Mediacom Park. Lindenwood swept the Bears at home earlier in the season.
