Women's Basketball Takes Down Illinois Springfield 82-62

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood women's basketball defeated Illinois Springfield 82-62 on Thursday night in Hyland Arena. The win is Lindenwood's fourth consecutive victory and moves the Lions to 17-8 overall and 13-6 in GLVC action. Lindenwood did not trail at any point of the contest, holding the lead for 39:44.

NOTABLE
- Kallie Bildner led the Lions with 26 points and 10 rebounds. She surpassed 500 points scored this season, a feat only one other Lion has achieved in the NCAA era; Kallie Bildner in 2017-18.
- Bildner is 29 points shy of matching her Lindenwood NCAA single-season record 535 points. Lila Witte holds the Lindenwood NAIA record with 887 points in the 1989-90 season. 
- Ellen McCorkle came off the bench to spark the Lions with 15 points on 6-10 shooting.
- Julia Ruzevich was 5-10 from the field for 11 points while grabbing five rebounds. She also had a block and a steal.
- Devin Fuhring posted 11 points with four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals.
- Lindsay Medlen led the Lions with six assists and grabbed eight rebounds while scoring seven points. She tacked on two steals and two blocks defensively. 
- Kate Ruzevich shot 4-9 from the field for eight points while grabbing seven rebounds. 
- The Lions dominated the paint with 48 points in the paint while holding the Prairie Stars to 22 points inside. 
- Lindenwood turned the ball over a mere eight times in the game. 

PLAYOFF PICTURE
With the win, the Lions are 13-6 in the GLVC. In the most recent GLVC Point Rating System update, the Lions are in fifth place with 3.61 points. They lead sixth-place UIndy (3.42 ), but trail fourth-place Southern Indiana (3.76) with one game left in the GLVC schedule. The Lions host second-place Lewis (3.89) on Saturday, while UIndy and Southern Indiana face off in Evansville, Ind.
