The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-23-4, 3-15-1 CHA) lost 4-3 to RIT (12-18-3, 5-13-1 CHA) on Friday afternoon in Rochester, N.Y.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions fell behind early in the first period, surrendering a power play goal at the 4:47 mark. Lindenwood picked up the pace for the remainder of the period, outshooting the Tigers 21-19 in the first frame. However, RIT netted its second goal with less than one minute to go in the period, taking a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

Lindenwood quickly cut the deficit in half, as the Lions notched their first goal at the 3:53 mark of the second period.Â
Megan Wagner brought the puck into the zone on a 3-on-1, as
Hannah Alt put the puck in the net. Lindenwood took four penalties in the period, allowing RIT to regain its two-goal lead heading into the third period.

The Lions put the pressure on in the third period, as
Maddison Stitt took advantage of a power play and scored from the point to make it a 3-2 game. After just 61 seconds,
Kayla Martinez tied the game at 3-3 with a goal at the 10:26 mark of the third period. RIT stole the momentum, after scoring the go-ahead goal with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation. Lindenwood could not complete the comeback, falling 4-3 to the Tigers on Friday.
