The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (0-1, 0-1 GLVC) fell on Friday, 3-0, to Missouri-St. Louis (1-0, 1-0 GLVC) in the season-opener.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions dropped the first set, 25-17, after trading leads with the Tritons.
- Lindenwood reached an early lead, 10-7, before Missouri-St. Louis came back on a 9-0 run.
- The team registered nine kills in the first set.
- Battling in the second set, the two teams went back-and-forth, with neither team leading by more than four until the Tritons took a 19-14 lead.
- Lindenwood upped its kill total to 11 in the second set, two more than in the first.
- The closest of the three sets was the third, which Missouri-St. Louis took, 25-22.
- In the third set, the Lions notched 15 total kills, for a .163 attack percentage.
- In the match, the Lions registered more kills than the Tritons, 35-31.
