The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (0-1, 0-1 GLVC) fell on Friday, 3-0, to Missouri-St. Louis (1-0, 1-0 GLVC) in the season-opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lions dropped the first set, 25-17, after trading leads with the Tritons.
• Lindenwood reached an early lead, 10-7, before Missouri-St. Louis came back on a 9-0 run.
• The team registered nine kills in the first set.
• Battling in the second set, the two teams went back-and-forth, with neither team leading by more than four until the Tritons took a 19-14 lead.
• Lindenwood upped its kill total to 11 in the second set, two more than in the first.
• The closest of the three sets was the third, which Missouri-St. Louis took, 25-22.
• In the third set, the Lions notched 15 total kills, for a .163 attack percentage.
• In the match, the Lions registered more kills than the Tritons, 35-31.

BOX SCORE LEADERS

• Kat Finnerty led with 10 kills. Amber Schade registered nine, and Hannah Borchelt recorded eight.
• Both Mackenzi Sifuentes and Borchelt tallied three blocks, while Allie Otten had two.
• Otten was the team's leader with 29 assists. Borchelt had two, and Jessie Seidel had one.
• Jenna Garrett paced the team with 16 digs. Seidel and Otten were tied with 13 each.
