The Lindenwood men's soccer team (5-4-1, 5-3-1 GLVC) played to a scoreless draw with Drury (5-4-2, 5-1-2) on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo. The result moves the Lions unbeaten streak to six games.
MATCH OVERVIEW
The two teams were locked in a defensive battle in the first half, seeing each team combine for nine shots, including three on goal.
Santiago Rodriguez led the Lions with two shots in the first 45 minutes of play, one of which was on frame. Drury registered three corner kicks during the half, while Lindenwood managed one.
The game would enter halftime scoreless.
Both teams made some offensive adjustments at the half, as the game started to open up offensively during the second half. Drury and Lindenwood combined for 13 shots in the half, including five on goal. However, neither team was able to find the back of the net in the half, seeing the game head to overtime.
