The Lindenwood women's soccer team (4-6-1, 4-4-1 GLVC) fell by a score of 2-0 to Drury (10-1-0, 8-0-0 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
MATCH OVERVIEW
Lindenwood struggled to find offensive momentum in the first half, registering just five shots, including one on goal. Drury got on the board early in the half, pouncing on a rebound from a corner kick at the 6:46 mark. Despite the early goal,
Samantha Linderer was solid in the half, making three saves across the first 45 minutes of play, as the Lions trailed 1-0 at the break.
The Panthers extended their lead in the 56th minute, making the score 2-0 early in the second half. Again, the Lions struggled to get much going offensively in the half, compiling just five shots in the second 45 minutes.
Drury was able to see the game out to its final result, a 2-0 win.
