Lindenwood field hockey (5-5) suffered a 4-2 loss in a neutral site showdown at No. 7 Kutztown (8-1, 2-0 PSAC) on Saturday.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions held a 2-1 lead entering halftime after second quarter goals from
Makenna Rugani and
Mia Simpson, both of which were unassisted. The Lions were outshot in the first half, 19-5, but were able to score one more goal than the opposition.
In the second half, Lindenwood was unable to limit the Kutztown offense, as the team was outscored 3-0. The Golden Bears were held to just five shots in the second half, but managed three goals scored on those five shots.
