The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (8-5, 3-2 GLVC) suffered a 3-0 loss at No. 14 Lewis (12-3, 7-0 GLVC) on Saturday.
MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lions offense was stalled at No. 14 Lewis, as the team suffered a 3-0 defeat on the road. Lindenwood was limited to 23 kills on a .108 hitting percentage, the lowest of the season for the team for any match. It was the first loss of the season for the Lions that did not go five sets.
The first set was the closest of the threes, as the Flyers won, 25-18. Lindenwood finished with its highest kill total of any of the sets at nine. The final two sets witness the team total 14 kills, with eight in the second set, and six in the third and final set.
Lindenwood trailed early in all three sets, as the Lewis defense helped push the team to quick leads against the Lions. The Lions tallied five less aces and 10 less digs than the Flyers in the match.
Madilyn Dement led Lindenwood with a .294 hitting percentage and was tied for the team-lead in kills (6).
