The Lindenwood men's basketball team lost 89-66 to its NCAA Division I opponent, Saint Louis University, in an exhibition game on Sunday in Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Mo.

The Lions were down by just four at halftime with the help of 4-of-6 shooting from behind the arc. Lindenwood held the Billikens to just a pair of three pointers in the first 20 minutes of play. SLU pounded the paint in the second half, earning 28 of its 50 second half points down low. Lindenwood struggled to keep pace with the Billikens in its first exhibition game of the season.

Jacoby Ross led the Lions with 13 points, including three buckets from behind the arc.Â
Kevin Caldwell Jr. and
Trent Champagne each hit a pair of shots from three-point range, as the Lions ended the night with eight three pointers.Â
Brandon Suggs scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds, while
Anthony Christian dropped 10 points with five boards.Â
Romelo Burrell compiled 11 points, all of which came at the charity stripe.

Lindenwood will take on another NCAA Division I team in Northwestern on Thursday in its final exhibition of the season at 7:00 p.m. in Evanston, Ill.
