GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood jumped out to an early lead as Romelo Burrell scored on a three-point play less than 30 seconds into the game.  Less than two minutes later, the Lions went on a 4-0 run to build a 10-5 advantage after Burrell knocked down a turnaround jumper.  Missouri-St. Louis took a 13-12 lead before the first media timeout, after going on a 6-0 run.  Lindenwood settled down and regained a four-point lead at the halfway point of the first half, but the Tritons stay within striking distance.

Missouri-St. Louis took charge of the game near the end of the half, and held a double-digit lead.  Brandon Suggs made it a 41-33 game, as the Lions were outscored in the paint 24-8 in the first 20 minutes.  The Lions committed eight turnovers to just one for the Tritons, and Missouri-St. Louis shot 50 percent from the field to hold the eight-point advantage at the break.

The Tritons continued to hold a significant lead in the early stages of the second half, but the Lions brought it to a 55-47 deficit at the 12:35 mark after five-consecutive points from Kevin Caldwell Jr.  It took the Tritons three minutes to regain a double-digit lead, and they did not look back.  Missouri-St. Louis picked up the road win over Lindenwood on Saturday by a margin of 77-61.

QUOTABLE
"We have to give UMSL a lot of credit," said head coach Kyle Gerdeman.  "They controlled the game in the second half both offensively and defensively, and I thought their experience was a big factor.  Our guys battled, we stayed focused on the areas we are working to improve on, and we will continue to get better."
