The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-3, 0-3 MIVA) suffered a 3-0 loss to No. 13 Loyola Chicago (7-0, 3-0) on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions dropped the first set by a score of 25-17.
- Lindenwood tallied seven kills in the opening set, while Loyola Chicago notched 12.
- The team brought it to within two, 18-16, but a 7-1 run gave the Ramblers the early set victory.
- The second set saw the team close the final gap to within six, as they finished with 11 kills to the Ramblers' 14.
- The third set, which was the closest, ended 26-24 in Loyola Chicago's favor.
- Lindenwood finished with 12 kills in the final set, while Loyola Chicago had 16.
- The Lions led, 20-15, in the third set but an 11-4 run gave the Ramblers the victory in the first match between the two teams.
