The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-9-1, 2-9-1 CHA) fell for a second straight day to Syracuse, this time by a score of 5-2.

Megan Wagner had the goals for the Lions.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions defense stood strong in the first period, blocking 14 Orange shots. However, Syracuse would keep up the pressure and get on the board late in the opening period scoring a short-handed goal at the 16:52 mark of the opening period. The Orange would take that lead into the first intermission.
Syracuse kept up the offensive pressure in the second period as they put 18 shots on the Lindenwood net. That pressure resulted in two more goals giving the Orange a 3-0 lead heading into the second intermission. The Lions had three powerplay opportunities but were unable to capitalize on any of them.
The Orange would add two more goals in the third period to increase their lead to 5-0. Despite the deficit, the Lions kept battling as
Jada Burke scored her first goal of the season at the 13:02 mark to get the Lions on the board. Just three minutes later,
Megan Wagner would score her second goal in as many days to cut the deficit to 5-2. That would be as close as Lindenwood would get as Syracuse picked up the victory.
