The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-5, 0-5 MIVA) suffered a road loss to Ball State (6-1, 3-0 MIVA) on Saturday, 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions dropped the opening set of the match, 25-23.
- After trailing early, Lindenwood evened up the set a 6-6 on an attack error by Ball State.
- Another Ball State attack error gave the Lions a 9-8 lead in the first set.
- The two teams would go back-and-forth, with the last Lindenwood lead coming at the 18-17 mark. The Lions tied up the score 23-23, but the Cardinals closed the set on a 2-0 run to go up 1-0.
- Ball State took the second set by a score of 25-13.
- The third and final set also went the Cardinals' way, 25-20.
- After a service error by Ball State, the Lions trailed by just one, 11-10.
- With the score at 22-20 in third set, the Cardinals went on a 3-0 run to take the victory in the match.
