The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-6, 0-6 MIVA) dropped its match at Ball State (7-1, 4-0 MIVA) on Sunday, 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions fell in the first set, 25-20. Each of the next two sets would finish closer, however.
- The team had 12 or more kills in each set, including 13 in the opening set.
- Ball State jumped out to an early 5-2 lead, and was in control for a majority of the set, however Lindenwood was able to tie it up at 19-19. Two 3-0 runs secured the first set victory for the Cardinals.
- The second set went Ball State's way, 25-21.
- The Lions led early in the second, but a 3-0 run to close the set capped off the victory once again for Ball State.
- For the second-straight set, the Lions tallied 13 kills.
- The third and final set secured the Cardinals' victory, by a score of 25-22.
- In the third set, the Lions had 12 kills.
- In the contest, Lindenwood outblocked Ball State, 9-4.
- Both teams registered one service ace.
