The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (2-3, 2-3 GLVC) split its doubleheader on Saturday, winning against No. 6 Rockhurst, 3-0, before dropping the match against No. 17 Southern Indiana, 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED IN MATCH ONE
- The Lions picked up a first set victory, 25-19.
- After a Rockhurst kill to bring the set within one, 11-10, in favor of the Lions, Lindenwood went on a 4-0 run to push the lead to five at 15-10.
- The Lions would notch another 4-0 run in the first set win.
- The second set went Lindenwood's way, 25-23.
- The team trailed early to the Hawks, 8-3, but a 12-4 run would give the Lions a 13-12 lead.
- Both squads went on multiple 3-0 runs, but ultimately the set went to Lindenwood.
- The Lions picked up a sweep of Rockhurst with a 25-18 third set victory.
- Lindenwood did not trail at any point in the final set.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN MATCH TWO
- The Lions battled tough against No. 17 Southern Indiana, losing by two points in each of the first two sets.
- Lindenwood led late, 24-22, in the first set against the Screaming Eagles, but a 3-0 run would give Southern Indiana the momentum to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
- In the second set, the Lions trailed, 23-17, before going on a 5-0 run to push the game to a slim one-point lead for USI.
- A Screaming Eagles kill with the score at 24-23 gave Southern Indiana the second set victory.
- Southern Indiana took the third and final set, 25-14, giving it the sweep.
