The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (3-4, 3-4 GLVC) picked up a win against McKendree (3-5, 3-5 GLVC), 3-1, as the team split its doubleheader on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN MATCH ONE

• The Lions won the first set, 25-22.
• Lindenwood's largest lead in the opening set was 24-19.
• Missouri S&T picked up a second set victory, 25-22.
• After bringing the set to within one point, 22-21, the Miners closed it out on a 3-0 run to even the match at 1-1.
• The Miners won, 25-22, in the third set.
• The Lions led 8-5 early in the set, and held a 20-18 lead before Missouri S&T finished on a 7-2 run.
• Lindenwood pushed Missouri S&T to a fifth set with a 25-18 fourth set win.
• The team jumped out to a 15-8 lead, and did not trail by less than four after gaining an 11-7 advantage.
• In the fifth set, the Miners bested the Lions, 15-8.

BOX SCORE LEADERS IN MATCH ONE

• Hannah Borchelt had a team-high 14 kills. Sadie Kosciuk and Mackenzi Sifuentes had 11 each.
• Abby Vulich finished with two aces, to lead the Lions.
• Sadie Kosciuk and Mackenzi Sifuentes each had a team-best six blocks.
• Allie Otten's 43 assists paced the squad.
• Jessie Seidel recorded a team-high 16 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN MATCH TWO

• The Lions fells in the opening set, 25-18.
• After jumping out to an 8-4 lead, the Bearcats did not look back, going up 1-0 in the match.
• Lindenwood took the second set, 25-19.
• The team went on a 7-0 run with the set tied, 11-11.
• The third set went the Lions way, 25-22.
• With a slim 23-22 lead, the Lions won the final two serves of the third set to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
• The Lions secured the win against McKendree with a dominant fourth set victory, 25-15.
• Lindenwood capped the fourth set with a 7-2 run to pick up the team's third win of the campaign.
• Lindenwood closed the match winning three-straight sets.

BOX SCORE LEADERS IN MATCH TWO

• Kat Finnerty picked up a team-high 13 kills. Emma Engelbrecht finished with 11, and Hannah Borchelt had 10.
• Allie Otten recorded two service aces.
• Sadie Kosciuk paced the Lions with six blocks.
• Allie Otten had 38 digs, which led Lindenwood.
• Jessie Seidel led with 16 digs against McKendree.
