MATCH OVERVIEW
Lindenwood struggled to get much going offensively in the opening half, registering two shots, but none of those were on target.  The defense stood strong for much of the opening half as they saw UIS generate 10 shots on goal, Including five on target.  With all the pressure, the Prairie Stars were able to find the back of the net in the 41st minute.  Despite the goal, Freshman goalkeeper Jasko Smajic made four saves in the half, keeping Lindenwood in the match.

In the second half, the Prairie Stars were able to maintain the lead and earn the 1-0 victory.  In the match, UIS outshot the Lions 17-5, including nine shots on goal, while Lindenwood had just one.
