Corrigan Scores as Women's Soccer Shuts Out Quincy 1-0

MATCH OVERVIEW
The opening 45 minutes of play was a strong defensive half by both teams as each team combined for just five shots on goal in the half, three for Lindenwood and two for Quincy, respectively.  The best chance for the Lions came in the 26th minute when Corrigan headed the ball into the back of the net to give the Lions a one-goal advantage.  Kaitlyn Weinrich and Maggie Weller picked up assists on the goal.

Lindenwood would carry the one-goal advantage into halftime.

Quincy created a great scoring chance just three minutes into the second half when the Hawks hit the crossbar, but Sam Blazek was there to make the save on the second attempt. The Diamond Bar, Calif. native made two saves on the afternoon as Lindenwood protected the one-goal lead as she and Megan Swanson once again combined for a shutout.
