No. 4 Wrestling Dominates on Senior Night

The No. 4 Lindenwood wrestling team (6-1, 4-0 GLVC) cruised to a pair of wins on Wednesday night in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.  The Lions opened the night with a dominating 54-0 win over Kentucky Wesleyan, and then laid down the hammer with an impressive 54-3 win against Central Missouri.
 
DUAL ONE: No. 4 Lindenwood 54, Kentucky Wesleyan 0
Austin Kegley started off the night with a 6-2 decision, while Isaac Jacquez followed up with a 13-5 major decision.  In the 141-pound match, No. 2 Colby Smith registered a pin at the 4:25 mark and the Lions did not look back.  Jack Tangen posted an 18-2 tech fall at 157 pounds, and the Lions scored six points in each of the following matches against the Panthers.
 
Senior Nate Trepanier posted a fall at the 1:32 mark of his 165-pound bout.  Colton Clingenpeel celebrated his senior night as he flashed his skill with a pin in just 41 seconds.  Michael Kramer capped off the dual with a pin in 43 seconds, as the Lions walked away with a 54-0 win.

DUAL TWO: No. 4 Lindenwood 54, Central Missouri 3
Lindenwood wasted not time jacking up points, as Cevion Severado started the second dual with a pin at the 2:33 mark.  The Lions won the next three matches by forfeit, while the Mules took the only points form Lindenwood in the 157-pound match.  Lindenwood closed out the night with an astonishing five-straight pins.
 
Trepanier bowed out on his senior night with two pins in his two matches.  Fellow senior Tim Bogar won by default in the first dual, but earned a pin in 1:50 to close out his career in Hyland Arena.  Kyle Dickhaus registered a pin at the 2:28 mark, while Keaton Fogler tallied the fastest pin on the night, as he just needed 32 seconds to secure the fall.  Kramer ended the night with authority, earning at pin at the 1:15 mark of the 285-pound match, which marked the 10th pin on the night for the Lions.
