The No. 14 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team picked up a 14-3 victory over Quincy in the season-opener on Saturday afternoon in Hunter Stadium.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions outshot the Hawks in each of the first two periods, 18-2 in the first quarter and 13-8 in the second.
Carter Collins scored two of his four goals in the opening half.
Andrew Hasz,
Nolan Corker and
Peter Covington each added goals in the first 30 minutes of play. Lindenwood entered the half up 6-2 and were able to cause 12 Quincy turnovers.
The Lions outscored the Hawks 8-1 in the second half led by a trio of goals from
Rob Tucker. Lindenwood only allowed one Quincy shot in the final frame and were able to earn the 14-3 victory behind strong defense and timely offense.
