For the fourth straight week, Lindenwood sits atop the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Men's Division I Ranking. The Lions improved to 12-0-0 last weekend with back-to-back shutouts against No. 5 Iowa State on the road in Ames, Iowa.
The top five remained the same from week to week with Adrian in second after a sweep of Jamestown to improve to 14-1-0. Liberty also earned a sweep to remain third in the ranking, topping Ohio University on the road to raise its record to 6-2-0. Minot State remained fourth after an idle weekend, and the Cyclones dropped to 10-7-1 after the two losses to Lindenwood, but remained fifth.
The biggest movers included Maryville University, jumping into the sixth spot from 11th with a mark of 9-5-0, and Jamestown, moving from 13th to ninth with a record of 10-9-3.
The ACHA uses an average of two computer rankings to produce its top 10 each week.
The Lions head back on the road for another series in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) against Ohio University March 12-13. Lindenwood swept the Bobcats in an earlier meeting at home the first weekend of February. Ohio enters the series with a mark of 1-11-0, but are ranked eighth in the ACHA due to strength of schedule. The opening faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night at the Bird Arena in Athens, Ohio.
