No. 24 Lindenwood women's soccer (4-0-1, 4-0-1 GLVC) bested No. 13 Rockhurst (3-1-1, 3-1-1 GLVC) by a final score of 1-0 on Friday night from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
MATCH OVERVIRW
The Lions outshot the Hawks 8-4 in the opening half. Of those eight Lion shots, three were on frame. The best chance for Lindenwood in the half came in the 32nd minute when
Maggie Weller found the back of the net from about 20 yards out, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead.
Mia Corrigan picked up an assist on the goal.
The Lions carried that lead into halftime.
Lindenwood continued its strong defense as it has all season, allowing just three Rockhurst shots in the second 45 minutes of play. Lindenwood protected the lead and picked up another 1-0 shutout win, their fourth such victory of the season.
