Wilson Scores as Men's Soccer Beats Rockhurst 1-0

The Lindenwood men's soccer team (2-3-0, 2-3-0 GLVC) beat Rockhurst (1-3-1, 1-3-1 GLVC) by a score of 1-0 on Friday night from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.

MATCH OVERVIEW
Both teams created quite a few scoring chances in the first half as each team totaled four shots on goal in the half.  Cooper Wilson capitalized on one of those chances in the 27th minute as he took a nice pass from Trenton Dietiker and chipped it over the keeper to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.

The Lions took the 1-0 lead into halftime behind four saves from Jason Ellis Jr.

In the second half, Lindenwood compiled nine shots, while the Hawks had seven. Once again, Ellis Jr. had the answer as the Vancouver, Wash native made a career-high six saves in the match. The Lions protected the lead and saw out a 1-0 victory.
