Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

No. 2 Women's Lacrosse Dominant in Win Over Findlay

The No. 2 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (4-0, 0-0 GLVC) picked up its second win in as many days, this time defeating the University of Findlay (0-4, 0-4 GMAC) by a score of 18-4 on Sunday afternoon from Findlay, Ohio.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions led 11-1 at halftime including nine unanswered goals to end the half. Lindenwood outshot Findlay 22-3 in the half as the defense was stout all afternoon.  The Lions also totaled nine more draw controls than the Oilers and scooped up three more ground balls than the opposition as they were dominant in all areas.
 
Lindenwood continued the goal streak into the second half, scoring the first three goals during the second 30 minutes of play. The defense was outstanding again, as they limited Findlay to just five shots during the second half.  In total, the Lions outshot the Oilers 31-9 on the day, earning a 18-4 victory.
 
INSIDE THE SCORES
Lindsey Smith scored a career-high three goals in the game.
Emma Wildhart also tallied three goals, leading the team.
Carly Fedorowski scooped up a team leading three ground balls.
Cam Holley moves to 3-0 on the year.
 
UP NEXT
The Lions return home for a matchup with Colorado Mesa on Sunday, March 21, beginning at 1:00 p.m. from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
