The No. 2 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (5-0, 0-0 GLVC) won its fifth-straight game after defeating No. 25 Colorado Mesa (1-2, 1-2 RMAC) 18-13 on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions rattled of six unanswered goals after trailing 3-1 early in the opening half. Lindenwood took a 9-6 lead into the locker room after 30 minutes of play.
Lindsey Smith netted two of her career-high four goals in the first half, one that saw Lindenwood outshoot Colorado Mesa 18-11 and scoop up eight more ground balls than the Mavericks.
Lindenwood scored the first four goals of the second half to increase its lead and took control of the game by registering 13 draw controls, while Colorado Mesa had five.Â
Sara Grieco tallied all four of her goals during the second 30 minutes. In the win, Lindenwood forced 24 turnovers, while outshooting the Mavericks 39-20.
