The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (4-8, 1-8 MIVA) lost, 3-0, to No. 5 Lewis (12-2, 7-2 MIVA) on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lindenwood fell in the first set, 25-18.
- The Lions recorded nine kills in the opening set to three errors.
- In the second set, the Flyers took a 2-0 lead by a score of 25-17.
- Lindenwood outkilled Lewis, 13-10, in the second set.
- The third set saw the teams push it into extended play, with Lewis winning, 32-30.
- The Flyers recorded 20 kills in the third, while the Lions tallied 16.
- The Lions led late in the third, 23-21, before the Flyers took four out of five points to go up 25-24.
- The two squads went back-and-forth, with Lindenwood even gaining a 30-29 lead. However, Lewis ended the set, and the match, on a 3-0 run.
- Lewis had eight aces in the match.
- Lindenwood led with 30 digs, while Lewis recorded 25.
