Linderer's Late Goal Pushes Women's Soccer Past S&T

The Lindenwood women's soccer team (6-0-2, 6-0-2 GLVC) picked up its sixth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over Missouri S&T (1-5-1, 1-5-1 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon from Rolla, Mo.
 
MATCH OVERVIEW
The two teams traded chances in the opening half, seeing Lindenwood outshot Rolla 5-4 in the opening half, while generating four corner kicks to the Miners' two. The game remained scoreless heading into halftime, however.

In the second half, the Lions took control of the game, outshooting the Miners 5-1 and created the only three corners in the half. All the pressure paid off in the 74th minute when Samantha Linderer found the back of the net for the first time this season, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead.  Hannah Scholer picked up an assist on the goal. Lindenwood protected the lead over the final 15 minutes to see the game reach its final result.
