Men's Soccer Suffers Tough Loss to Missouri S&T

The Lindenwood men's soccer team (2-6-0, 2-6-0 GLVC) suffered a tough defeat on Sunday against Missouri S&T (3-3-1, 3-3-1 GLVC) by a final score of 3-2 from Rolla, Mo.
 
MATCH OVERVIEW
The first half saw the Miners register six shots, while the Lions compiled five.  Although the opening half was pretty even, Lindenwood made the most of its chances. Seeing the Lions score two goals across the first 45 minutes of play.  The first of the two belonged to Malek Akar-Jackson who found the back of the net for the first time this season, giving the Lions a 1-0 lead. Ten minutes later, Daniel Jimenez extended the Lion lead to 2-0 just before the halftime whistle. Milaim Hysa picked up an assist on the Jiminez goal.
 
The Miners made some adjustments in the second half, scoring in the 59th minute, cutting the Lindenwood lead in half. Sixteen minutes later, S&T would find the equalizer, knotting the game 2-2. The Miners would net a late go-ahead goal in the 88th minute to seal the 3-2 victory.
