The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (4-10, 1-10 MIVA) suffered a 3-0 sweep to Ohio State (7-8, 6-5 MIVA) on Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set was won by Ohio State, 25-18.
- After trailing by just one point in the first set, 11-10, the Buckeyes extended the lead to eight with a 7-0 scoring run.
- Lindenwood had 10 kills in the opening set.
- The second set also went the Buckeyes' way, 25-18.
- Once again, a large scoring run by Ohio State (6-0) set the tempo in a set victory. The Lions battled back to trail by just one, 19-18, but the Buckeyes closed out the set on a 6-0 run to go up 2-0 in the match.
- Both teams finished with 10 kills in the set.
- An extended third set went to Ohio State, 27-25.
- The Lions finished with six less kills than the Buckeyes, 38-32.
- Lindenwood has forced extras in a third set for the third-consecutive match.
