The No. 11 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (6-1, 6-1 GLVC) picked up its fourth- consecutive win with a 24-2 victory over Quincy (0-7, 0-7 GLVC) on Saturday from Quincy, Ill. The 24 goals are tied for the fourth most in a game during the NCAA era.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions controlled the game from the opening faceoff, seeing Lindenwood win 12 out of 14, leading to a 12-0 advantage after 30 minutes of play. Lindenwood limited Quincy to just eight shots in the opening half, which are the fewest allowed by the Lions in the first half this season. Three Lindenwood players netted two or more goals in the opening half, led by
Rob Tucker who scored three times.
Carter Collins and
Nolan Corker found the back of the net two times apiece.
The second half was more of the same as Lindenwood scored 12 times, while the Hawks tallied two goals. In the half, the Lions outshot Quincy 32-15, helping them rack up 69 total shot attempts, their most in a game this season. On the defensive end, Lindenwood forced 22 turnovers and held Quincy to 24 shot attempts on the way to a dominant win.
