A defensive battle with Iowa State ended with a 1-0 victory for Lindenwood in Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) action Friday night at the Iowa State Arena in Ames, Iowa.

Kyle Diamond set up Brendan Murphy for the only goal of the game with 4:23 remaining in the second period.  The Lions outshot the Cyclones 31-30 and Cooper Seedott stopped all 30 pucks he faced to earn the shutout win in goal and help Lindenwood improve to 11-0-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the CSCHL.

The Lions will go for the two-game series sweep against Iowa State Saturday night at the Iowa State Area.
