The No 17 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (3-1, 3-1 GLVC) defeated Lewis (2-3, 2-3 GLVC) by a final score of 15-10 on Saturday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the opening quarter, but the Flyers tallied the next three goals as the game was tied 3-3 after 15 minutes of play. Lindenwood took control of the game in the second quarter, outshooting Lewis 16-8 in the frame and took an 8-5 lead into halftime
The Lions outscored the Flyers 7-5 in the second half as
Leonard Jones scored three of his game-high five goals in the second 30 minutes of play. Lindenwood outshot Lewis 48-42 on the day, while scooping up 10 more ground balls than the Flyers on the way to a 15-10 victory.
