The No. 6 Lindenwood baseball team (3-0, 0-0 GLVC) picked up a pair of wins over Truman State at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo. on Saturday, winning by scores of 3-0 and 12-1, respectively.

GAME ONE OVERVIEW
Blake Beckmann showed his dominance on Saturday, as he faced 15 batters in the first five innings and allowed just one hit.  The Lions jumped on the board early, as Mitchell Krebs drove in Kolby Schulte in the first inning for a 1-0 lead.  Jayce Maag extended the lead to two runs, after his double down the left field line brought in Alex Canty.  Beckmann finished his first start of the season with seven strong innings and nine strikeouts.  The 6-2 senior allowed just four hits and did not walk a batter during his 70 pitches.

Lindenwood grabbed an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth inning, as Beau Collier started the frame with a single to centerfield.  After a sacrifice bunt moved Collier to second base, Canty drove in his first run of the game on a ground-rule double to left center to give the Lions a 3-0 advantage.  Brody Roach shut the door to earn the first save of the season, as he pitched the final two innings and tallied two strikeouts.
