The Lindenwood women's soccer team (8-2-3, 8-2-3 GLVC) earned a 1-0 win over Indianapolis (9-3-1, 9-3-1 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind. The shutout marks the ninth of the season, setting a new program record for most shutouts in a season.Â

MATCH OVERVIEW
Lindenwood's defense was strong in the opening half, keeping Uindy out of the middle of the field in the Lions attacking zone.
Sam Blazek made four saves in the opening half, helping keep the game scoreless heading into halftime. Lindenwood generated one corner kick during the first 45 minutes, but were unable to take advantage.
In the second half, Lindenwood continued its strong defensive performance, while creating more offensively. The game remained scoreless until the 76th minute when
Maggie Weller was able to outrun the Uindy defense and volley the ball over the keeper for a 1-0 lead.
Kaitlyn Weinrich picked up an assist on the goal. The tally was Weller's team-leading fourth of the season.   The Lions were able to protect the lead for the rest of the game and earn a 1-0 victory.
