Women's Soccer Completes Comeback in Regular Season Finale

The Lindenwood women's soccer team (9-2-3, 9-2-3 GLVC) concluded the regular season with a 3-1 comeback win over Lewis (5-7-2, 5-7-2 GLVC)

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lions were in control for most of the opening half as they generated 10 shots toward the Flyers net, including four on frame.  Lindenwood also created four corner kicks while Lewis managed one.  Despite the possession and the shot attempts for the Lions, the game went into halftime scoreless.

The Flyers found the back of the net early in the second half, putting them in front by a score of 1-0.  Lindenwood turned up the pressure after the goal with a quick response. In the 62nd minute. Mia Corrigan took the ball down the left side, crossed it in the box and found the left foot of Maggie Weller who netted her team leading fifth goal of the year.  Five minutes later, the Lions earned a corner, as Alaina White sent in a ball that found the head of Jill Wipke at the back post, giving Lindenwood a 2-1 lead. Wipke sealed the win in the 81st minute on another corner, this time from Corrigan.
