The No. 10 Lindenwood baseball team (16-3, 12-3 GLVC) lost 10-2 to McKendree on Friday afternoon in Lebanon, Ill.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood struggled to get runs across the plate in the opening game of the four-game set against McKendree. The Bearcats held a 5-0 lead after the third inning, as Lindenwood stranded 10 runners in the game. The Lions were down 9-0 heading into the top of the eighth inning, and attempted to claw back.Â
Drew Guido drove in the first run of the game for the Lions on a single to left field, and
Beau Collier brought a second run across on a sacrifice fly. The offense halted shortly after, as the Lions stranded three runners to remain in a 9-2 deficit. McKendree added a run in the bottom half of the inning to close out the game with a 10-2 win over the Lions.
