No. 9 Men's Lacrosse Outlasts Lewis For 11-8 Victory

The No. 9 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (8-1, 8-1 GLVC) picked up its sixth-consecutive win, an 11-8 victory over Lewis (3-7, 3-7 GLVC) on Saturday afternoon from Romeoville, Ill.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead and took an 8-4 lead into halftime. Nolan Corker scored a pair of goals and added an assist to lead Lindenwood with three points in the opening half. Lindenwood outshot Lewis 32-12 and picked 13 more ground balls than the Flyers in the first half of play.

In the second half, Lindenwood put three more goals on the board, including another tally by Corker who finished with a team-high three scores. The Lions were able to outlast Lewis in a back-and-forth battle, picking up an 11-8 win on the road. In the victory, Lindenwood outshot Lewis 54-27, while scooping up 29 ground balls as a team.
 
INSIDE THE SCORES
- Peter Covington and Andrew Hasz also tallied multi-goal efforts for Lindenwood.
- Grant Glazier added a team-high two assists.
- Jony Major went 9-12 from faceoff, while scooping up four ground balls. 
- Carter Collins also scooped up four ground balls, tops on the team.
- Brian Kallberg caused a team-best two turnovers.

The Lions next game will be on Saturday, April 24.  Lindenwood will take on No. 10 Indianapolis in Indianapolis Ind. beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET.
